About Course

The City & Guilds 2391-52 – Level 3 award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations is a qualification that helps you to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to professionally carry out inspection and testing on electrical installations. This course is aimed at experienced electricians, and suitable for individuals that want to progress to any of the following or similar: JIB grading as an Approved Electrician status, the NICEIC Electrical Contractor status or NAPIT’s Electrical Inspector Scheme. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older, and hold relevant level 3 electrotechnical qualifications to enrol on this course. Our Inspection and Testing course covers the domestic, commercial and industrial sectors across a range of topics including safe isolation, the requirements for completing inspections and how to confirm the safety of a system, how to safely test and commission electrical installations, how to understand and interpret results and how to produce condition reports. The course is assessed by one 2 hour multiple choice exam, one short written exercise and one practical assessment.
