About Course
The City & Guilds ‘18th Edition’ electrical qualification is a Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671. At the end of this 3-day course, you will demonstrate knowledge of the current IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) which is essential for those working in the electrical industry.
The course covers a wide range of topics included within the IET wiring regulations, and is aimed at practicing electricians, surveyors, and consultants, among others, who need to update their knowledge of the latest standards.
The regulations are regularly updated, and it is essential that all electricians stay up to date with the latest requirements as these standards must be adhered to when working on electrical installations.
Candidates must be over 18 years old and have general knowledge of electrical installations to enrol for this course.

The course is assessed by one 2 hour multiple choice exam. This exam is broken down into the 8 sections below:

- The definitions
- Assessment of general characteristics
- Requirements of protection for safety
- Requirements for selection and erection of equipment
- Requirements of Inspection & testing
- Requirements of special installations or locations as identified in BS 7671
- Information contained within the appendices of BS 7671
